WA’s largest electricity generator and retailer has Federal obligations to acquire renewable energy certificates (RECs) to match its retail sales.

Nathan Ling will outline Synergy’s strategy to meet these obligations, including the plans and funding arrangements through Bright Energy Investments for building 210MW of new renewable energy projects.

Our Guest Speaker:

Nathan Ling is the Manager, Strategy and Corporate Development, with Synergy. He has over 14 years of commercial experience, comprising over four years with Synergy, and 10 years in investment banking and corporate finance.

Nathan was instrumental in the development of Bright Energy Investments with $500 million capital to fund the development and operation of 250MW of large-scale renewable projects in Western Australia.

He was involved in the implementation of the first community based energy storage project in Australia – the Alkimos Beach Energy Storage Trial, and in the establishment of Solar Return, Synergy’s rooftop solar business
