About UWA IEEE Student Branch: The leading UWA Student Club for Electrical and Electronic Engineers was started in 1994, by a dedicated group of student volunteers.

About The uwa ieee student branch

your gateway to electrical and electronic engineering

Originally started in 1994, the UWA IEEE Student Branch has existed as an intersection between students, industry and academia. Our goals remain simple, to help students studying electrical and electronic engineering at UWA be put in touch with their relevant industries, assist them in search of career development and to help them to meet others in their course.

Run by students, for students

Our not for profit organisation is completely funded and staffed by student volunteers. We run a variety of events and programs such as mock interview workshops, technical talks, mentorship, site visits, quiz nights, and much more.

located on Campus

Our clubroom at MILC G56 provides a place for members to relax and socialise in between classes. Open from 9am - 5pm on all university weekdays, we also sell snacks and light refreshments to help fundraise for our events.

ABout the IEEE

The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is the largest worldwide professional organisation that represents Electrical and Electronic engineers. It produces over 30 percent of the world's electrical and electronic scientific literature. Over 70% of UWA Electrical/Electronic Engineering teaching and research staff are members or have published with the IEEE.
